Staff at a Limerick radio station were evacuated this afternoon following a bomb scare in the building.

The offices of Limerick's Live 95fm received a call reporting a bomb in the building at approximately 2pm, Independent.ie understands.

The broadcaster's offices are located on the Dock Road in Limerick city.

The offices were evacuated and a search was conducted by gardai.

The all-clear was given soon after the incident.

"It was all done and dusted in 15-20 minutes, but the whole building was evacuated," a source told Independent.ie.

"Now we're all back in the building again."

The reported threat follows a series of hoax alerts across Ireland and the UK last month.
