Irish men crushed under concrete panel in horror workplace accident

Two Irish men who are believed to be in their 20s have been killed in a workplace accident in Perth, Australia.

The men were crushed to death by a falling concrete slab at a worksite on Goderich and Bennett Streets in East Perth

Initially a Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said at least two people were trapped and three fire crews were on site assisting St John Ambulance.

Authorities at the scene later confirmed that two workers died in the horrific accident

The Department of Foreign Affairs is ready to provide consular assistance to the families.

The Belfast Telegraph has been reported that one of the victims is a 24-year-old man from Omagh, and the second man is thought to be from Co Derry
