Revenue officers caught a 25-year-old Irish man carrying 11kg of cocaine in Dublin Airport on Monday.

Over 11kg of cocaine, worth more than €750,000, was seized by Revenue officers yesterday when, as a result of routine profiling, a 25-year-old Irish man who arrived at Dublin Airport on a flight from Paris was stopped.

A search of the passenger's suitcase revealed four apparently empty rucksacks, each of which was found to have a concealment of cocaine sewn into the back panel.

The value of the drugs is in excess of €750,000.

The passenger was arrested at the scene by gardai.

The 25-year-old was brought to Ballymun garda station.

He appeared in court this morning charged with the sale, supply and importation of drugs, before being remanded in custody for one week by Judge Michael Walsh.
