A motorist, who was stopped by gardai for driving erratically, failed a roadside breath test before a second test revealed he was five times over the legal limit.

After being stopped, the driver immediately failed his first test.

Taken to Store Street garda station in Dublin's north-inner city, the results of a second test showed that the motorist was driving while being five times over the legal limit:

Testing at 117 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, the driver was over five times above the legal limit of 23.
