Ireland to introduce rules for gambling and e-cigarette advertisements

The Advertising Standards Authority are to implement new rules for gambling and e-cigarette advertisements in Ireland.

Gambling companies will not be allowed to market their products as solutions to financial problems or suggest they can provide and escape from problems like loneliness and depression.

Meanwhile, e-cigarette makers won’t be allowed to make any health or medicinal claims about their product, nor can they associate themselves with tobacco brands or products and cannot present the vaporisers as an alternative to tobacco.
