Ireland to be hotter than Spain as summer weather finally arrives
It looks like summer is well and truly on the way with Irish temperatures set to rival those in Ibiza this week.
Met Éireann has predicted that it may hit 19C from today and will be dry and sunny once early morning mist and fog clears.
In fact, parts of the country will be 2C hotter than the Spanish holiday hotspot today.
Tomorrow, it is also set to be dry and sunny with temperatures as high as 16C.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather will be more mixed with some rain and cloud moving in.
There will be fresh and gusty winds on Friday but it will remain warm with temperatures in some parts of the country expected to reach 18C.
At this point it looks as though the weekend will also be warm and dry.
It is expected to reach between 13C and 17C.
A Met Éireann spokesperson said: "Tuesday will be dry with good sunny intervals.
"Wednesday will be dry, with sunshine and temperatures of 12C to 16C," they said.
