On the anniversary of the day Israel began its aerial campaign in Palestine, a touching tribute to the hundreds of children callously killed during the war appeared at Sandymount Strand.

PalFest, a festival organised by Irish artists in solidarity with Palestinians, marked the first anniversary of the brutal air campaign carried out in Palestine.

The bloody war in Palestine last summer resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 civilians, 556 of which were children.

Thousands of buildings were razed to the ground during the air campaign, and many of these still lie in ruins today.

The installation at Sandymount Strand this morning was created to raise awareness of the many children who were killed during the war.
