A dangerous hitman linked to the Hutch gang has gone to ground, with garda fearing that he may be planning an attack on the Kinahan cartel.

Gardai have been unable to verify his location despite searching his home and other properties.
The 23-year-old was recently released from custody but failed to reside at a named address as part of his post-release conditions.
Despite his young age he is considered to be a leading member of the Hutch organised crime gang. It is suspected he was involved in the Regency Hotel murder plot and gardai subsequently informed him that his life was under threat.
A source revealed that the criminal is being sought over crimes not related to the current feud but added that he was being investigated for gangland related activity.
"The fear is that he is gone to ground because he is planning an attack on the cartel. He hasn't been sighted at his Dublin home in a number of weeks," a source said.
However, gardai have not ruled out that the hitman may have fled the country due to the ongoing Hutch/Kinahan feud.
He was previously linked to the Kinahan cartel but fell out with the gang following the murder of Gary Hutch (33) in September 2015 - a killing which forced a split in the international crime syndicate.
Just over a month later, he was suspected of being involved in a botched murder plot on cartel associate Liam Roe (38) outside the Red Cow Hotel.
Gardai also suspect that he was involved in the March 2015 murder of Paul Kavanagh (25), shot dead outside the Cat and Cage pub in Drumcondra on behalf of the Kinahan cartel.
A five-man hit team were involved in the Regency Hotel attack on February 5, during which gangland criminal David Byrne (33) was shot dead and two other men were injured.
The hit team's main target was Daniel Kinahan (39), the perceived leader of the cartel, who managed to flee the scene unharmed.
