Horror crash claims second life

Another man has died after sustaining suffering serious injuries in a horror collision which took place on Hyde Road in Limerick.

The 23-year-old male driver of a car, who was seriously injured in a fatal road traffic collision which occured on Hyde Road, Limerick on Tuesday March 15, 2016, was pronounced dead at University Hospital Limerick yesterday evening.

The 28-year-old male passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead shortly after the collision.

The two men were travelling in a car which collided with a van on Tuesday evening last at around 7.30pm.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, and his passenger, a five-year-old girl, were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigating gardai are renewing their appeal for information in relation to this collision.
