Good weather expected to stay for Bank Holiday Weekend

The good weather we have been basking in over the past weekend is expected to hold into next week.

Sun worshippers will be delighted to note we are guaranteed temperatures of up to 22 degrees Celsius until Friday.

And although Met Eireann couldn't provide an accurate forecast for the weekend, they report "relatively warm conditions" to continue for the week and have indicated that the warm spell will continue into the Bank Holiday weekend.

Looking for a place to go? The midlands and the west of the country will enjoy the best of it.

And you're probably better off on the Emerald Isle itself than parts of Mediterranean Europe this week.

Tuesday and Wednesday are to stay dry, with mist and fog patches overnight.

The sunshine may be "hazy" in the east on Wednesday, but the temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees are sure to get you through the midweek slump.

Thursday will be a duller day, especially in the east where there is the likelihood of occasional rain or drizzle. Temperatures will be a little lower than recent days but it will still be above normal.

A bright and sunny day on Friday is sure to get you in the Bank Holiday spirit. Met Eireann have forecast good spells of sunshine, with a light breeze to keep you cool.

And - what everybody wants to know - Met Eireann say current indications would suggest we could be having a Bank Holiday soaking up some rays at the beach, with the odd burst of showery rain possible.
