Gardai use number plate technology to nab driver banned for 30 years
This is the moment gardaí used sophisticated number plate technology to catch a driver who had been banned from Irish roads for 30 years.
The driver was disqualified in April 2015 for multiple convictions for no insurance or licence.
Gardaí were alerted to the motorist through Number Plate Recognition system installed in the squad car.

Officers discovered that the driver had no insurance, tax or NCT.
The vehicle was seized and the driver arrested.
The suspect was bailed and is due to appear in court later this month.
