Gardai seized over €50,000 in cash and €20,000 worth of jewellery in their raids on 10 premises this morning.

The raids, part of a campaign to crack down on organised crime, began at 7am and targeted 10 homes across the south of Dublin.

One of the premises target has links to gangland figure Greg Lynch.

Gardai also seized GPS tracking devices, documents and drugs during the raids.

A man in his 30s has also been arrested and as there was a warrant out for his arrest he has been taken to prison.

The series of raids comes just two days after a major operation involving gardai and CAB seized a large number of vehicles from premises linked to the Kinahan cartel in the Crumlin area.

The value of cars seized in that series of raids was well in excess of €500,000.
