Gardai probe 'suspicious approach' to 11-year-old boy
Gardai are investigating reports of a 'suspicious approach' that was allegedly made towards an 11-year-old boy in Westmeath yesterday.
Gardai have confirmed to the Sunday World that they are investigating the alleged incident that took place in Mullingar.
Gardai say the alleged incident took place on Ashe Road in the town at approximately 8.30am yesterday morning.
It has been reported in the Mirror that a man in a red car made the alleged 'suspicious approach' and that the boy told his teachers about the incident when he arrived in school.
They also report that gardai set up a checkpoint in the area this morning at the same time as the alleged incident.
