Gardai issue warning after car overturns on motorway
Gardai have warned Irish motorists to slow down in bad weather after a car overturned in heavy rain on the M9.
The Garda Traffic Twitter account published a number of images of the incident which happened during a downpour near Kilcullen in Kildare yesterday.
The single vehicle crash saw a driver lose control of their car in heavy rain, strike a roadside embankment and end up on top of the 20ft high mound upside down.
Thankfully, the driver escaped from the scary incident unharmed but the Gardai have taken the opportunity to warn motorists about the dangers of driving at high-speeds during heavy rain.
