Gardai arrest two women and seize €75k of goods in south-east gang raids
Gardai raids in Wexford and Waterford today have resulted in arrests and seizures of suspected stolen goods.
Gardai have arrested two women this morning following a series of raids by the Waterford and Wexford Divisions targeting the investigation of an Organised Criminal Gang operating nationally and in the south east of Ireland.
The searches resulted in what is believed to be stolen property to the value of €75,000 being recovered and seized by Gardai.
Two women (both in mid 40's) were arrested and are currently detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
It was reported this morning that the Vehicle Investigation Unit, Garda Air Support and Officers from Revenue Custom and Excise were involved in the searches.
This latest raid by gardai follows a number of similar operations in recent weeks across Dublin.
