Gardai appeal for public’s help after man’s body found in Dublin

Gardai are appealing to the public for their help after a man’s body was discovered in Dublin yesterday.

They say they will be calling to doors in Rathcoole to try to get more information after the body was found at the side of a road at Steelstown Lane after a member of the public called them in the early hours of yesterday morning, saying they had come across the body on the road.

The victim is described as having ‘visible injuries’ but a post mortem is yet to be completed.

Gardai say they believe they know the victim’s identity, but will not divulge any information until they are satisfied his family know first.

Steelstown Lane is also the same spot where little baby ‘Maria’ was found at in the past weeks, but gardai say do not believe the two incidents are linked.
