The death of a Polish man in Co Donegal was not related to the weather, gardai say.

The man, in his 30s, was found dead in the Millbrae area of Buncrana at 8.30pm on Thursday.

Gardai believe he died from natural causes.

They are awaiting the results of a post-mortem carried out this evening at Letterkenny University Hospital.

The man's death sparked rumours on social media that he had frozen to death as temperatures drop to below zero.

However, this possibility has been ruled out.

The Polish national had a long history of previous medical conditions.
