The funeral of a dissident republican gunned down in a north Dublin pub last month has taken place in Strabane.
Barr, 34, was shot dead inside the Sunset House pub on Monday, April 25, at around 9.30pm.
He was suspected of being a close associate of the Regency Hotel 'Flat Cap' killer and the murder has been linked to the ongoing feud in Dublin.
Two men burst into the pub, shooting Barr a number of times in the head and body before fleeing in an Audi A6, registration number 04-C-17738, which was later found burned out in the Drumcondra area.
A dissident IRA group later released a statement claiming that Barr was one of their 'volunteers'.
There was a heavy police presence in the County Tyrone town today as the funeral procession got underway.
Men in 'military' gear flanked the coffin as it arrived at St Mary's Church, Melmount.
