GBK Temple Bar, the first restaurant completed in Gourmet Burger Kitchen's €3.5million refurbishment plan, will reopen on Monday morning.

To celebrate, GBK Temple Bar will give away 500 cheeseburgers from midday, on a first come, first served basis!

Several well known faces converged on the newly revamped eaterie on Thursday evening to check it out.

The high-profile corner site on Temple Bar Square is now a warm, vibrant and welcoming space with bespoke banquettes and retro-style laminate tables.

Luxury detailing contrasts with industrial raw finishes, for a modern take on the classic burger bar.

With 48 seats inside, and an enviable terrace seating a further 42 diners, the restaurant will continue to be one of the busiest of the five GBKs in Dublin.

"These are exciting times for GBK Ireland," said GBK Ireland General Manager Ken Gilbride.

"And what better way to celebrate the opening than by giving away hundreds of our most popular burger!"

Back in 2001, three Kiwi guys set up the first Gourmet Burger Kitchen in London, changing the burger scene forever.

Now with five restaurants in Dublin, GBK prides itself on serving up a variety of crafted burgers, combining 100% grass fed Irish beef, with the freshest ingredients and sauces made from scratch, every day, in each GBK kitchen.
