Gardai have arrested four men in connection with the death of Lorcan O'Reilly this morning.

The four are being detained at Kevin St, Kilmainham, Donnybrook and Sundrive Road Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939.

On Monday, three men and two women were arrested by Gardai in connection with the 21-year-old's death.

Mr O'Reilly (21) was stabbed to death in the south city Oliver Bond flats complex in the capital in the early hours of the morning of November 1.

It is believed the young man from Robert Emmet Close was stabbed as he tried to stop a fight.

The incident happened at approximately 2.30am as the young man was enjoying the Halloween festivities.

He received a single stab wound to the heart, and was rushed to St James's Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
