Fog brings two crashes this morning in Dublin causing traffic chaos

There has been two accidents on Dublin roads this morning which are causing traffic chaos for commuters.

Fog warnings are in place until 11am this morning with motorists being warned to remain vigilant.

There has been a crash in Rathgar, Dublin 6, on Grosvenor Road inbound at the Rathgar Road junctions.

Traffic is slow on the M50 Southbound between junction 5 Finglas and Junction 10 Ballymount because of an earlier crash.

The Met office has issued a Status Orange weather warning, predicting that dense fog will grip the nation for a time this morning.

Dense fog is expected in many areas which will lead to hazardous driving conditions for those commuting to work or school.

The fog will be slow to clear and may linger until the middle of the day in some midland and western areas.
