Finally! Mostly dry and sunny weather expected in the next week
It's been a fairly mixed bag in terms of weather in the past few weeks but thankfully we're in for a fairly decent week or so at least.
And a very good weekend by the looks of things.
Today is expected to be mainly dry for much of the country with temperatures reaching the mid-teens in places.
"There'll be isolated showers and sunny spells to start this morning then today will be generally rather cloudy but largely dry," Met Eireann said.
"There'll be a few showery outbreaks of rain, mainly in western and northwestern areas and conversely there'll be sunny breaks further east and in the south.
"Winds will be moderate southwesterly and temperatures will reach between 15 and 19 degrees, mildest in the east."
Friday will be "mainly dry with sunny spells developing" with temperatures in places reaching as high as 18 degrees.
The weekend, according to the trusty guys over at yr.no, will be balmy in most places. Temperatures will hover in the mid-teens with areas in the south expected to get the best of it.
"Saturday will be a fair weather day. Most places will be dry with some sunshine and afternoon temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees, the warmer temperatures most likely to be recorded inland and it'll be a little cooler along the coasts, with sea breezes likely during the afternoon," Met Eireann say.
