Female cyclist killed in collision with tractor
A female cyclist has died following a collision with a tractor in Co Kerry this evening.
Gardai at Killarney are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash on the Killarney bypass.
At approximately 7pm this evening, a female cyclist in her 40s was involved in a collision with a tractor which was towing agricultural equipment on the N22 Killarney bypass.
The road is the main thoroughfare between Cork and Tralee.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
The road is closed to traffic and local diversions are in place while garda forensic collision investigators examine the scene. The local coroner has been notified.
