Famous Belfast hotel in administration
The Balmoral Hotel in West Belfast has been placed into administration.
Stuart Irwin of KPMG administrators said: "It is our intention to keep the hotel open for business as usual, including weddings and all other bookings."
Around 100 people are employed at the hotel which has show an annual loss of £137,000 in its last accounts.
Mr Irvin added: “The Joint Administrators will seek to find a new owner however, in the meantime it is our intention to keep the business open.
“It is early in the Administration process, but our intention at present is to keep the workforce intact.”
It is understood the long term plan is for the hotel to be sold.
