Family launch appeal for missing 23-year-old
The family of 23-year-old Paul Tynan have launched a public appeal in the hopes of locating him.
Paul, an electrical engineering student, was last seen at the River Walk student accommodation complex in Waterford city during the early hours of Saturday January 23.
He was last seen leaving the apartments located on the Inner Ring Road shortly after 1.15am.
The Bray native's cousin Ryan Tynan said it is very uncharacteristic of Paul to leave without saying anything.
"It is just not like him at all not to contact me, his mum or sister," he said
"We are very worried. If anyone has seen him, please contact me or Waterford Garda Station."
His sister Lauren Tynan took to Facebook today in the hopes of raising some awareness of her brother's disappearance.
"My brother Paul has been missing since Friday night at 1.15 am. If anyone has seen him or heard him since then, please contact the guards. We're all really worried about him," wrote the NUIG student.
Paul is approx 5'10 with dark hair and a beard. He has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, dark jeans and black Nike Air Max trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station 051 305300, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
