Face of dissident republican shot dead in Dublin pub
This is Michael Barr, who was gunned down in The Sunset House in Dublin's north inner city last night.
Barr, 34, was shot three times, at least once in head at around 9.15pm in the pub on Summerhill Parade.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barr was a dissident republican who may have been supplying weapons to the Hutch mob, sources said last night.
Barr, who was originally from Tyrone, had been living on Dublin’s northside and was a major target for the Special Detective Unit.
Sources said that Barr’s house was raided by gardai last week.
Detectives are now probing whether the shooting is linked to the bitter gangland war between the Hutch mob and the Kinahan cartel.
