Phoenix Park was HOT yesterday - but "heavy showers" are expected for this weekend
Not to burst anybody's bubble or anything but...
We're just as delighted as you are about the latest 'mini-heatwave' we've been enjoying so it gives us no pleasure whatsoever informing you it's all coming to fairly horrific end.
For everybody who's been working all week and looking forward to some weekend fun - we're extra sorry. Yesterday replaced the previous day as the hottest we've had so far, with temperatures in the Phoenix Park hitting 19 degrees.

According to Met Eireann today is set to another scorcher with temperatures set to rise to 19 degrees in places.
"Some mist and sea fog patches drifting onto some southern coastal parts of Munster and South Leinster", Met Eireann said 2Highest temperatures 15 to 19 degrees, a little cooler near some coasts."
Tomorrow will be another "warm day with sunny spells".
"Cloud will increase in Western parts during the afternoon with some rain developing later in the afternoon and evening. Elsewhere it will stay dry apart from a few isolated showers.
Highest temperatures are expected to reach between 15 to 18 degrees, but it is expected to become breezy and blustery later on in the day.
Saturday is going to be sunny in places in the morning but the afternoon is expected to be much more cool. This will in turn give way to "heavy showers" which will spread widely by the afternoon.
Temperatures are going to be between 9 and 11 degrees.
Sunday will be cloudy with scattered outbreaks of showers. Temperatures hovering between 8 and 10 degrees.
Monday is expected to break and sunny spells will be widespread.
