Several people injured after bus smashes into Luas in Dublin
A tourist bus has smashed into the side of a Luas tram on Dublin's northside.
Images posted on social media show the incident, which happened on the Red Line service near Smithfield.
There are a number of ambulances at the scene.
The number of injured has now grown to eight, two of whom were sent to hospital with suspected spinal injuries and six of whom have been described as "walking wounded".
In a statement on their website, Luas advise of a disruption to the Red Line service.
Please be advised that Luas services are running between Saggart, Tallaght and Blackhorse only due to incident on the line at Smithfield.
There are no services between The Point/Connolly and Blackhorse.
