Elderly pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Dublin

A 69-year-old female pedestrian seriously injured in a collision on Grange Road, Donaghmede, north Dublin on Thursday was pronounced dead in Beaumont Hospital yesterday evening.

The incident took place on Grange Road in Donaghmede, just after 10am on Thursday morning.

A female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a car and taken to Beaumont Hospital.

The woman was pronounced dead in the hospital last night.

The male driver and female passenger of the car, both in their late 60s, were uninjured. 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were in the area of the Holy Trinity Church on Thursday morning or the Donaghmede Shopping Centre to contact them at Coolock garda station on 01 6664200, the garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
