Two men in Dublin have been filmed taking charity money from a fountain in a Dublin shopping centre.

The footage that has emerged was taken by a Dublin musician on Tuesday morning in the Irish Life shopping mall on Talbot Street.

The pair are seen with their socks and shoes removed and their trousers rolled up collecting donated money from the bottom of the fountain.

It was filmed by Richie Malone, a musician with Irish band Raid, and uploaded to YouTube.

"One of the lads could see a pair of feet in fountain. At first it was one guy on his own, who then ran off, and came back a few minutes later with a buddy," Malone said.

"That guy took off his socks and runners and started scooping up as much money as he could."

The pair are thrown out by security who quickly arrive on the scene.
