Dublin to Kerry flight forced to return to Dublin Airport after plane goes off runway
Kerry Airport's runway has been closed after a singe-engine plane went off the runway this afternoon.
The runway at Kerry Airport in Farranfore has been shut down after an incident involving a small aircraft.
The single-engine plane, flown by a single pilot and carrying one passenger, went off the runway today.
Neither person aboard the aircraft was injured, according to RTE.
An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Kerry was due into Farranfore at 1.00pm but was forced to divert back to Dublin Airport.
A flight scheduled outbound from Kerry to the capital has also been cancelled, with passengers being transferred by bus to Dublin city.
Kerry Airport's website states that inbound flight from London and Dublin, scheduled for later on Saturday, will be unaffected by the incident.
