Dublin bus driver praised for helping old man cross road

A bus driver who was on route 41 from the city centre to Swords this afternoon has been praised for stopping his vehicle to help an elderly man cross a busy road.

The driver noticed the elderly man on the side of the road struggling to find a break in the traffic.

Before the bus driver pulled off he disembarked and helped the man cross the road.

Passenger Victor-Ioan Onea sent the photos to Independent.ie after being touched by the bus driver’s act of kindness.

“There are still people who care in this world”, he told Independent.ie

“Congratulations and all the best to the driver”, he added.
