Deceased man had ham on his bum and his genitals were in a can of tuna
A man who was found dead outside Malaga Airport had been stripped from the waist down, tied to a bench, had ham on his buttocks and his genitals were in a can of tuna.
British man Steven Allford was discovered by security guards on Friday morning, bound to the bench with cable ties.
Murder squad detectives were called in following initial speculation that he may have been asphyxiated.
However, a post mortem showed that Mr Allford had choked on his own vomit after consuming a large amount of alcohol.
It is also believed that he had been sleeping rough at the airport at the time.
Detectives were investigating whether the ties had played a part in his death or if the food and binds were put on him after he drank himself to death.
Reports indicate that police believe he had missed a flight home or was sleeping rough.
He was identified by documents found among belongings in a trolley next to his body.
