Customs make €4.7m bust of 'Don Corleone' fags in Dublin port
Customs officers discovered a stash of ‘Don Corleone’ cigarettes disguised as paper handkerchiefs at Dublin Port.
The shipment, which was concealed in a 40-foot container, had arrived from Belgium.
They were detected by customs’ mobile scanner as a result of routine profiling.
Revenue’s Custom Service are reporting the investigation as ongoing.
The seizure was part of the Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the supply and sale of illegal cigarettes.
