Ireland's most dangerous rapist has been spotted out on the streets, sporting a radical new look as he prepares for his full release.

Our exclusive footage shows David Hegarty handcuffed to a prison officer, out and about on the streets, looking radically different than when he was locked up in 2009.

Hegarty, from Cork, got 13 years in 2009 for rape, despite a judge saying he wanted to jail him for life over fears he would "rape again at the first opportunity."

Hegarty had previously served time for sex attacks on two young students before he attacked a nurse on the street in Cork city in 2008.

The beast, now sporting a pony tail and dressed here in cut-off black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes, and looks considerably fatter than when he was last seen in court seven years ago.
