Two men charged after early-morning burglary in Dublin
Two men in their 20s have been charged in relation to a burglary that took place early this morning in Cabra, west Dublin.
At around 3am this morning, gardai were patrolling the New Cabra Road, Dublin 7, when they observed a car coming out of a driveway.
The car was followed and stopped before gardai spoke with the driver and the passenger.
Gardai were advised that a burglary had occurred on the New Cabra Road and a car was stolen during the course of the robbery.
Both men were arrested at the scene and taken to Store Street garda station, where they were detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
The two men, both in their 20s, were charged this afternoon in relation to the incident.
They appeared before District Court Number 2, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin.
The duo were remanded in custody to appear on August 31 at Cloverhill District Court.
