Two men are in custody after drugs with an estimated street value of €600,000 were seized in Dublin.

Gardaí stopped a truck and a car at St Margaret's Road in Finglas, shortly before 7pm yesterday, as part of an operation targeting the activities of an organised criminal gang.

They recovered 100kg of cannabis resin and over 40,000 prescription drugs.

Two men, in their 30s, were arrested and are being held at Finglas Garda Station.
