Two arrested after stolen vehicle intercepted by gardai in Dublin

Gardai stopped a 4x4 and a car on the Naas Road in Dublin early this morning before arresting the drivers of both vehicles.

Two men have been arrested by gardai during overnight operations in Dublin.

At around 4.30am, gardai intercepted a 4x4 vehicle and a car on the Naas Road, Dublin.

The 4x4 was taken earlier during a burglary in Co Carlow.

The drivers of the vehicles, both male and aged in their 30s, were arrested before being taken to Carlow garda station.

Both are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

During follow up searches at an apartment complex in Tallaght, a third car was recovered.

The car was taken during the course of burglary in Tullow on August 3. 

The operation was conducted by gardai from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, with assistance from gardai attached to Finglas, Clondalkin and Carlow garda stations.
