Two men accused of falsely imprisoning a Dublin family will face trial at the Special Criminal Court next October.

Last year, at Cloverhill District Court, Declan Duffy (43), of Hannover Street West in Dublin and Daniel Kane (27), of Hollycourt in Ballybrack, were charged with three counts of false imprisonment at The Towers, Garters Lane in Saggart.

They are also charged with violent disorder.

Mr Justice Tony Hunt, presiding, with Judge Martin Nolan and Judge Cormac Dunne, listed the trial for October 3 next year.

The trial is expected to last four weeks.

Both men were remanded in custody until their trial date.

The court also heard that the men's co-accused, Christopher Maguire (37), of Dun Emer Place in Lusk, has been unwell for the last number of months and was not able to attend the hearing.

Mr Maguire is also charged with the same three counts of false imprisonment in Saggart.

His case was listed for mention on November 29.
