Thug who punched garda at Swedish House Mafia gig shot in Tallaght
24-year-old Sean Hulgrain is recovering in hospital after being shot several times in Tallaght last night.
The thug was blasted a number of times in the Parkhill West estate of Kilnamanagh at approximately 8.50pm.
Hulgrain, who has 17 previous district convictions including making a threat to kill, was hit in the arm and back and was brought to Tallaght Hospital.
Shocked medical staff alerted gardai when the injured male walked into the hospital’s Emergency Department.
The man is currently being treated for his injuries, which are being described as “non life-threatening”.
Hulgrain, who is originally from the Thornfield area of Clondalkin, received a suspended sentence last year after being found guilty of breaking the nose of an off-duty garda during the infamous Swedish House Mafia concert.
During the trial, the court heard how Hulgrain approached the off-duty garda who was attending the concert.
He then proceeded to call the officer a “garda scumbag” before punching him in the face and running off.
Gardai from Tallaght Garda Station are investigating the shooting and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
