Suspect planning on ‘blowing himself up’ at Euros fanzone arrested
Belgian police have arrested a 20-year-old terror suspect who was reportedly planning to blow himself up at a Euro 2016 match.
Anti-terror police stormed an address in the early hours of Saturday morning and the man is now in custody.
According to French station RTL the man had planning to attack the game between Belgium and Hungary.
He planned to blow himself up in a fanzone where thousands are watching games on the big screens, the channel claims.
Prime Minister Charles Michel said the nation would remain “extremely vigilant, hour by hour”.
