Stabbed man drove himself to garda station after knife attack

A man who was stabbed at a house in Dublin drove himself to a Garda station after the attack before being rushed to hospital by ambulance.

The incident happened in Clonskeagh south of the city at around 10am on Saturday morning.

The victim called to the house but a row developed and he was allegedly attacked before being stabbed in the back.

After fleeing the scene the man drove himself to Donnybrook Garda station to report the matter and seek medical attention.

Gardai who were concerned about the man's injuries and possible internal bleeding or organ damage then called an ambulance and the victim was taken to St Vincent’s hospital for treatment.

His condition was later described as not serious.

Gardai later arrested a man in Clonskeagh who is due to appear in court this morning on charges in relation to the incident.
