Police searching for missing Irish student Karen Buckley have found human remains on a farm north of the city.

High Craigton Farm had been sealed off by police earlier in the day and the news comes just hours after it was confirmed that police had detained a 21-year-old man in connection with the Cork woman's disaappearance.

Karen (24) had not been seen since she was reported missing after a night out in Glasgow at the weekend.

A 21-year-old man has been formally arrested in connection with the incident.
