A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children following an incident at a Leisure Centre in Bangor, Co Down last month.

Two boys aged under 10-years were at the Aurora swimming pool with their mum when one of the children allegedly spotted a purple Samsung phone being held over the side of a cubicle in the communal changing area.

The boy told his mum who approached the man, causing him to flee the scene

The incident occurred on the 15th of August and police made a public appeal for information on the 3rd of September.

The suspect has since been arrested and was released on strict bail conditions to be interviewed by police again at a later date.

Gordon Pennock, the contract manager for the Northern Community Leisure Trust  which manages the Bangor facility at the time said they were "supporting police with their enquiries".
