Kinahan cartel gopher Liam Roe has been dubbed the Imelda Marcos of gangland because of his shoe collection.

The thug, who is the cousin of ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson, had 50 pairs of shoes nearly laid out in his apartment when it was raided by gardai as part of Operation Thistle.

The 38-year-old perma-tanned gangster is in charge of providing cars and hotels for senior cartel members.

A source told The Irish Sun “Roe is lying low and spends most of his days shopping and making trips to England.

“He’s known as the Imelda Marcos of gangland because of his love for runners and he has a new pair every week.

Imelda Marcos was the first lady of the Philippines - between 1965 - 1986 - who had an extensive shoe collection, think Sarah Jessica Parker with more resources.

Roe isn’t considered a main player in the gang and many believe he’s only there due to his ties to Fat Freddie.

“He loves male grooming but his head has swollen recently because of the amount of time he has been spending on the sunbeds.”

“He’s regarded as a soft target, but someone the Hutches would target because of his ties to Freddie.”
