A vile pervert, who stole his neighbour’s knickers before popping them on and parading himself around while requesting her opinion on his attire, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in Wexford.

Padraig Hopkins (41), who has been on the Sex Offenders Register since he was sentenced to four years in prison in 2008 for a false imprisonment and a sexual assault charge, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to harassing Rutha Sventriata on June 26, 2014 at Leinster Road in Rathmines.

The knicker thief was jailed last month for 18-months and is currently in custody at Midlands’ Prison.

The panty pincher yesterday pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in the city on February 4th last year.

He also robbed the woman during the sick attack.

Judge Melanie Greally adjourned sentencing to a sitting of the court on October 20th
