Man stabbed and Volkswagen found partially submerged in shallow water

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the assault and apparent stabbing of a 21-year-old man in Knockcommon, Beauparc, Navan, Co. Meath.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:15pm yesterday.

The man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where his condition is described as stable but serious.

A red Volkswagen Passat with a registration plate beginning with 00-G was later discovered partially submerged in shallow water was discovered a short distance from where the incident occurred

No arrests have been made and the investigation is on going.

Garda would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any activity in the vicinity of Knockcommon, Beauparc, Slane, Co.
