A man has been arrested after a house in Meath was shot at.

Gardaí arrested the man, who is in his 40s, yesterday afternoon at approximately 5pm after the shooting incident the day before. 
 
He was arrested in connection with an incident where a firearm was discharged at a house in the Archdeaconery area of Kells, County Meath. 
 
The man is currently detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
 
In a follow-up search Gardaí recovered a firearm in the Carrick Street area of Kells.
