Man hospitalised and two arrested following aggravated burglary
A man in his early 30s and a woman in her mid 20s have been attested following an aggravated burglary in Co Cork.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:05pm last night at Pauds Cross, Blarney.
A lone male entered the house and was confronted by the homeowner, aged in his early 60s.
A struggle ensued and victim received a number of puncture wounds.
The suspect fled the scene and the injured party was taken to Cork University Hospital and has since been released.
After an immediate and extensive search two people were arrested and brought to Gurranabraher and Mayfield Garda Stations where they are currently being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, as amended.
