Man dies, another injured, after stabbing incident in Dublin
A man has died after a stabbing in South Dublin
The man, who is in his 30s, suffered fatal knife injuries in the attack on Bloomfield Avenue, off Dublin's South Circular Road.
Gardaí are at the scene.
Gardaí have sealed off the area and a blood-stained towel was seen near the location of the attack.
In a statement they say that at 3.45pm they were called to an incident at a flat on South Circular Road, close to the junction with Bloomfield Avenue Dublin 8.
A man was discovered with injuries on the roadway close to the scene. This man has been removed to James' Hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
When Gardaí examined the inside of the flat they discovered the body of a man believed to be in his 30s.
The scene of the incident has been sealed off for a technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been informed.
Anyone who was in the South Circular Road/Bloomfield Avenue this afternoon between 3pm and 4pm is asked to contact Kevin Street Garda Station.
